of the Association called

POMORSKIE TOWARZYSTWO GENEALOGICZNE

(Pomeranian Genealogical Association)


§1

Pomorskie Towarzystwo Genealogiczne (the "Association" below) is an unincorporated association registered with the local government only.

§2

The territory of the activity of the Association is the Republic of Poland; the registered office is in the city of Gdańsk. The person representing the Association to the local government is Wojciech Beszczyński.

§3

The activity of the Association is based on voluntary work of its members.

§4

The goals of the Association are to:

  • develop and promote the field of genealogy;
  • popularize genealogy and represent genealogists;
  • increase society's interest in genealogy and popularize genealogy in schools;
  • strengthen and promote political, religious and ethnic tolerance;
  • cooperate in genealogical research with scientific institutions and archives;
  • cooperate in genealogical research with churches and religious organizations;
  • cooperate with similar Polish and foreign organizations; and
  • organize events for Association members and its sympathizers.

§5

To achieve the above goals, the Association works to:

  • improve and broaden genealogical knowledge of the members of the Association;
  • organize workshops, lectures, and exhibitions about genealogy;
  • help other genealogists, especially young people;
  • publish and promote publications about genealogy among members;
  • promote genealogical research amongst Polonia (Polish diaspora) to intensify their contacts with the country of their ancestors;
  • provide volunteer work to archives and educational institutions.

§6

Any adult can become a member of the Association. Minors require parental approval.

§7

The Association is only financed through entrance fees and monthly fees collected from members.

§8

The unincorporated Association named "Pomorskie Towarzystwo Genealogiczne" will continue to function until a legally incorporated entity of the same name is established and registered with the courts, at which time the unincorporated Association will be disbanded.

§9

The Rules come into effect when they are signed by the founding members of the Association.
